Home Kuttab app (published under the Road to Yaqeen brand) — Last updated: 15 June 2026
Home Kuttab is a companion for Muslims (Quran reading, memorisation, knowledge). The app works offline by default. Creating an account is optional and serves only to save and synchronise your progress across your devices and with your family. No advertising, no ad trackers, no selling of data.
The controller is the app's publisher, Road to Yaqeen. For any question or request regarding your data, use the “Contact us” form built into the app, or write to roadtoyaqeen@gmail.com.
Your data stays on your device only (local storage) and is not transmitted: the display name and avatar you choose, your reading, memorisation (hifz) and quiz progress, your goals, favourite verses, and settings (language, reminders, daily goal).
If you create an account, the following data is stored with our secure host to enable synchronisation:
If you send a message through the built-in form, we keep the type (bug, suggestion, other), the message, the email address you provide and the app's language, in order to reply to you and improve the service.
Reading reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No data is sent to a server for this.
We do not carry out advertising profiling and take no automated decisions about you.
Account and synchronisation data is hosted by Supabase (database and authentication). Service emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, alerts for new contact messages) are sent through Resend. These providers act as processors on behalf of the publisher.
We do not sell your data and do not share it for commercial purposes. Sharing is limited to: the processors above; the members of your family or your group, for the information you voluntarily share there (first name, avatar, reading progress); and where required by law.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account or ask us to, it is deleted. Guest-mode data disappears if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise them, contact us through the built-in form or at roadtoyaqeen@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France).
“Child profiles” are created and managed by a parent from their own account; they contain only a first name and an avatar chosen by the parent, with no email address or personal identifier for the child. The app does not request personal information directly from children.
Exchanges with our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is restricted per account through security rules at the database level. Passwords are stored in hashed form.
This policy may change along with the app. The update date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
